About All Kind Wellness
My journey with hormones began about 5 years ago when I noticed that I was no longer as mentally sharp as I had once been… sluggish. I noticed that My irritability was enough that it was affecting our marriage. Libido was severely diminished, and I began to sweat at night. I have struggled with depression for years but found myself hitting new lows. Thankfully, I am a nurse practitioner and recognized the symptoms of perimenopause. I finally sought treatment and thus my journey here.
I have been religious about pelleting every 3 months. My energy and mental clarity have returned. I found that I actually do love my husband! I didn’t know that my hormonal imbalance had so deeply impacted my relationships. I am sleeping better and without sweating. My internal thermostat has finally normalized. After being witness to my dramatic improvement we recognized similar symptoms in my husband and last year started him on pellet therapy as well. His symptoms of andropause (low libido, irritability and fatigue to name a few) have significantly improved, which in turn has led to a significant improvement in our communication, closeness and intimacy.
I continue to work full time in the community as a primary care provider, but recently decided to branch out and help other women (and men as well), sharing my passion for hormone optimization. I have been referring patients to other providers for years for hormone optimization but found that over the last few years I am having more and more conversations with women in my genal practice. In my quest for answers, I learned about Evexias, a wellness company that compounds these hormones a little differently than other companies and I was hooked. I signed up for the training.
I have worked in the allopathic realm of medicine as a nurse practitioner since 2009. It saddens me that our health care system is more of a sick care system. What if we addressed the root cause of our illness? There are things called endocrine disruptors and hormone mimickers in our environment, mainly coming from pesticides, processed foods and the majority of consumer products sold (widely used in personal care and household products). We are seeing chronic diseases such as diabetes and high blood pressure in younger and younger patients.
I’ve worn many hats throughout the years, starting my journey in health care as a nursing assistant in 1995, becoming an RN, then nurse practitioner. I’ve worked in long term care, hospice, critical care, infusion therapy, public health, wound care, teaching at a community college; practicing in internal medicine and family practice. I’ve had board certifications in chemotherapies/oncology and as a diabetic educator. I am intrigued by the human body in all of its intricacies and am passionate about learning. Whether it be in my personal or professional realm, my life’s work has been rooted in serving others. When people are hurting, ill or otherwise compromised I’ve asked myself what could have been differently. I’ve come to realize that in order to heal we must start at the root.
I’m excited at the inception of All Kind Wellness and hope that I might be a part of your journey on your quest for better health and enhanced quality of life.
